Companies Overview

This article provides an overview of how companies created and used within Feedback Studio.

Understanding Companies

Companies have a direct relationship with feedback - each vote represents a company. If a piece of feedback has 10 votes, 10 companies have upvoted it.

Users can be created and associated with a company. A company doesn't need to have users associated with it, but it helps to keep the data clean.

For example, a company could be be associated with three users. When any of those users upvote feedback via the roadmap, their company association will be identified and the correct company will be associated with the feedback.

Creating Companies

You can create companies either one at a time by going to Companies and clicking the Create New Company button, or else by using the Bulk Import tool.

Company Data

On the company modal and page, we provide multiple fields for tracking and managing company information. All but the company name are optional.:

  1. Company Name: The name of the company.
  2. Domain: The email domain used by the company.
  3. Website: Provides a quick reference, especially useful when reviewing feedback.
  4. Main Contact Name and Main Contact Email: This should be the individual within the company who is best suited for providing feedback.
  5. Account Manager: The staff member from your team that manages this account (optional).
  6. Churn Risk: Indicates the potential risk of the company churning. Options are None, Low, Medium, High, Churning, or Churned.
  7. Internal ID: If you use an ID internally to refer to this company, add it here.
  8. Monthly Spend: The amount the company spends on your services on a monthly basis.
  9. Active Customers: The number of active customers the company has, if relevant and known.

Company Actions and Data

  • Users Section: The Users section allows manual association of users with the company. While this association typically occurs automatically through roadmap interaction or bulk updates/imports, manual association might be necessary for cases where email domains do not match.   • Feedback Section: Lists all the feedback that the company has voted on. This section is useful for understanding the company's needs and concerns.
  • Comments Section: A place to leave internal information about the company that the wider team may want to reference. Comments are available on the Pro plan.
