External Roadmap
The external roadmap is a public page that allows companies to add new feedback and upvote existing. For details on preparing and publishing content to the roadmap, please refer to our Internal Roadmap documentation.
Sharing the Roadmap
Once your roadmap is published, a unique URL is generated, allowing you to share future plans and updates with the public. This is usually linked from your main website or sent out as part of marketing campaigns.
Engaging with the Roadmap
Visitors can engage with your roadmap in two ways:
Adding Feedback: By clicking the Add Feedback button, visitors can submit new feedback.
Voting and adding User Stories: Visitors have the option to add their vote and user story to existing feedback that has already been published on the roadmap. This process allows them to support enhancements or features they find most beneficial and get excited for new features.
When interacting with your roadmap, visitors can choose to vote either as a company or individual user:
Voting as a company: If a vote or new feedback is added as a company, we'll link it to any existing company record or create a new one if necessary. These votes are aggregated, along with any Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) associated with their company.
Voting as an individual: If a vote or new feedback is added as an individual, we'll first check to see if the user is already associated with a company. If they are, we'll add that company's vote to the feedback. If not, we'll create a new company to represent them, as well as a user profile.
User stories
When visitors vote and add their use cases to existing feedback, this is added as a vote with a user story to that feedback.
When new feedback is submitted, it's created both as new feedback and as a user story. This ensures that if the feedback text is updated later, the user story is still captured.
