Permissions
Permissions are available on our Pro plan.๐ If you're using our free plan, all staff members will default to Admin permissions.
Staff member roles
ADMINS
- The person who created the account will have this role.
- This allows full access to the account, including adding and deleting staff members and settings such as customization and billing.
- Admins can update other staff member's roles.
- You cannot remove yourself as an admin - another admin should be created and they can then change the role for you. This is to ensure you don't lose access to the account.
- These roles count as a seat.
Staff members with the Admin permission typically include Product Operations and Product Directors.
MANAGERS
- Managers can make updates to feedback and add items to the roadmap.
- Managers can add votes, feedback, users and companies.
- They aren't able to add new staff members or delete them.
- These roles count as a seat.
Staff members with the Manager permission typically include Product Managers and Product Owners.
CONTRIBUTORS
- Contributors able to view, upvote and add feedback, but not directly edit it.
- These roles do not count as a seat.
Staff members with the Contributor permission typically include support, marketing, sales, and any other internal teams that need access to your company's feedback.
Inviting a new staff member
As an admin, you can invite other members from your team to collaborate with you on Feedback Studio.
- Click Settings from the side navigation.
- Select Staff Management
- In the Invite a new staff member section add the first name, last name and email of the person you're inviting. Then select from Admin, Manager or Contributor for the role and send the invite.
Updating a staff members role
You can choose a staff member's role at the time of inviting them, but can also update this later.
- Click Settings from the side navigation.
- Select Staff Management
- Click the staff member's name to open their staff profile.
- Under Permissions, choose a new permission from the dropdown.
Deleting a staff member
You can delete a staff member as an admin, by following these steps.
- Click Settings from the side navigation.
- Select Staff Management
- Click the staff member's name to open their staff profile.
- On the bottom right, click "Delete ___ ____" and confirm.
